The QM-0440 and QM-0441 Adjustable Tine Drag Harrows have been developed, by QuadMaster, to be as adaptable as possible and to deal with a wide variety of arena, pasture and seedbed tasks.

The interchangeable hardened steel tines can be arranged in an assortment of configurations within the galvanized steel frames to allow the operator to get the maximum benefits from the implement. Our QM-0440 Roller Harrow includes the Roller frame which ensures a smooth finish on the arena or seed bed and assists in pressing in seeds and breaking sand clods. This model is turned upside down for safe transporting around the yard!

Sand Arenas and Tracks

Primarily the Drag Harrow is used to break up the sand in order to achieve a consistent sand quality thus preventing injury to the horse’s legs and tendons. By selecting the correct tine type and position, one can ensure that the sand is thoroughly broken up without damaging the substrate base or membrane of the arena. A neat surface can also be produced by bolting the correct tines in the final frame.

Wet sand arenas can be dried out using the harrow to turn and ridge the sand so that it can be dried by the sun and wind.

Pasture

The harrow is suitable for the spreading of animal droppings in pastures and by doing this the decomposition is accelerated thereby shorting the time taken to return animals for grazing. By selecting suitable tines one can use the harrow for dethatching the pasture, removing dead grass, so that growth can be increased allowing nutrients and air to get to the root area.

Seed beds

Harrows can be used with great success for seed bed preparation by assisting in the ripping of the soil and for the removal of weeds. Fertilizers and mulches can be evenly blended into the seed bed soil using longer tines.
The drag harrow can be used behind small tractors and quadbikes.
